Overview
ResourceSpace was created in 2006 by Dan Huby and Neale Hall while contracting for the charity Oxfam, which released the resulting DAM software under an open-source license. Huby later founded Montala Limited, an employee-owned UK company that maintains ResourceSpace and hosts its managed cloud service.
Because the core product is open source, organizations can self-host ResourceSpace for free with no per-user license fees, or choose Montala's managed cloud hosting for a fully supported experience.
